Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Quill Health Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with referrals. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
