Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Loom Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for cleanroom operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleanroom operations, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with cleanroom operations. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
