Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Jose, CA)

Rivermark Wilder Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for cleanroom operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleanroom operations, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with cleanroom operations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
