Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Antonio, TX)

Amberfield Clear Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in San Antonio, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ticketing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around volunteer programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with ticketing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
