Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Antonio, TX)

Silverline Meadow Medical designs and makes medical devices in San Antonio, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to device records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
