Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Antonio, TX)

Redstone Haven Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Track costs around attendance records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
