Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Antonio, TX)

Foxglove Field Staffing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
