Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Antonio, TX)

Stonegate Vale Financial Group serves customers across San Antonio with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around loan applications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
