Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Salt Lake City, UT)

Greenridge Vista Early Learning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around licensing records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
