Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Reno, NV)

Cedar Wilder Manufacturing Group is a Reno manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
