Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Reno, NV)

Westbrook Ridge Medical is a Reno company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 555 people based in Reno. What you will do • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to complaint handling, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with complaint handling. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
