Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Meadow Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around change orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety records.
