Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Rivermark Pike Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Des Moines, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 83 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to release testing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with release testing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
