Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Greenridge Ashton Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Orlando. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scheduling, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
