Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Clearpath Cobalt Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Portland, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to parts orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with parts orders.
