Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Greenridge Harbor Freight Partners is a Columbus logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We reward reliability. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to carrier rates, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
