Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Summit Lakeside Banking Services is a regional lender in Minneapolis with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 590 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
