Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Stonegate Vista Financial is a financial-services company in Sacramento. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
