Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Lumen Vista Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for lease compliance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease compliance, and clear open items. • Track costs around rent assistance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with lease compliance. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
