Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Rivermark Logistics is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for policy renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around catastrophe response against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
