Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge Juniper Legal Group is a Albuquerque practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client files. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
