Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Lumen Vista Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for customer estimates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer estimates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
