Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Stonegate Meadow Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Colorado Springs producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 175 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to quality documentation, and clear open items. • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with quality documentation. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
