Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Foxglove Willow Housing Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for repair requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around rent assistance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
