Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Westbrook Vista Markets Group serves neighbourhoods around Cincinnati with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
