Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Stonegate Vista Manufacturing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
