Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Redstone Ashton Health Group runs clinics and patient services around Honolulu, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with patient education. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
