Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Stonegate Cross Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for branch operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with branch operations. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
