Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge North Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for training materials, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
