Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Bluepeak Mill Hospitality Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for reviews and feedback, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with reviews and feedback. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
