Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge Sable Housing manages affordable housing communities across Oklahoma City, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to waiting lists, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with waiting lists. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oklahoma City. • We reply to every applicant.
