Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Nova Cross Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for patient education, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with patient education. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
