Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Pike Auto Group Associates and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer estimates. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
