Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Bluepeak Pine Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Tulsa. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer estimates. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Tulsa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
