Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Summit Thistle Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for warranty claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 78 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
