Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Clearpath Pike Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for release testing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to release testing, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with release testing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
