Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Ironwood Ember Medical Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for regulatory submissions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 907 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory submissions. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
