Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Redstone Kestrel Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Orlando producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cleanroom operations. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
