Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Rivermark Vista Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for repair requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 69 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with repair requests. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
