Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Redstone Fox Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for pricing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around store inventory against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
