Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

We are growing our team at Nova Fox Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to project schedules, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with project schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
