Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Northwind Fox Press is a printer and publisher in Spokane serving local and national clients, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around print quotes against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
