Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Northwind Glen Hospitality runs guest-focused properties across the Albuquerque area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
