Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Foxglove Harbor Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to usage data, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
