Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Northwind Vista Manufacturing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
