Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Greenridge Cobalt Markets is a Pittsburgh retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Track costs around online orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with store inventory. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
