Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Bluepeak Bright Markets Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for promotions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 692 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
