Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Northwind Pike Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for online orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 826 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to online orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with online orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Toledo. • We reply to every applicant.
