Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Fernwood Cobalt Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for quality documentation, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with quality documentation. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
