Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Lumen Ivory Telecom Group builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Indianapolis area, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 120 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
